Punjab CM writes to Union Education Minister seeking postponement of CBSE board exams

As the COVID cases are on the rise in Punjab, CM Amarinder Singh seeks the postponement of CBSE and ICSE board examinations for classes 10 and 12 for the sake of the students' safety. Singh has written to the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal regarding this and has asked for a postponement of these exams. The CBSE board are scheduled to be held in May-end and June. In the letter to Pokhriyal, Singh mentioned the prevailing COVID situation and how there is no sign of declining cases till the times of these exams. Many states are selling the postponement of the board exams from the Centre amidst the alarming spike in cases.
