Amidst the surging Indo-China border tension, India has imposed another digital strike. The Central Government, Ministry of Electronics, Information and Technology has put out a statement saying that the government has blocked 118 mobile applications which are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order.
The list of banned apps includes PUBG and PUBG LITE, which was used by most of the youths in the country. Other apps like Beauty Camera Plus, CamCard, APUS, FaceU, Baidu, WeChat, Cyber Hunter and more are also blocked. Earlier, similar digital strokes which banned over 200 applications were directed by the government.
