Islamabad, March 9 (IANS) A scuffle broke out between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members here on Thursday after a PML-N leader called PTI chief Imran Khan a "traitor" during the assembly proceedings.

PML-N member Mian Jawed Latif said Imran Khan was a "traitor" in view of his remarks against the foreign players who visited Lahore for the Pakistan Super League cricket final last week, Dawn news reported.

PTI member Murad Saeed and Latif clashed as both lawmakers were coming out of the assembly building following the NA session during which there was a heated exchange of words.

While commenting on the matter, Saeed claimed that the PML-N parliamentarians had also used derogatory and foul language against PTI members in the past.

During Thursday's session, Jawed Latif called Imran Khan a traitor, he said.

"When I protested against it, the PML-N lawmakers told me they had labelled my leader as a traitor and not me," Saeed said as he urged National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to take note of the issue.

Addressing a press conference following the scuffle, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhary said PTI was not conducting its politics in a respectable manner.

He said members of the PTI "attack" the assembly on the floor of parliament and from "outside" as well, adding that the party members are "narrow minded and frustrated just like their leader".
