Prince William to carry on in Royal Air Force

London, Jan 20 (ANI): Prince William is set to stay in uniform rather than take on a royal job with the family firm, with speculation mounting that he will carry on in the RAF.

It has been fuelled by reports that he and Kate are to move into Anmer Hall on the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk, the Daily Star reported.

The RAF Wattisham helicopter search and rescue base is nearby.

William is currently stationed at RAF Valley on Anglesey, north Wales.

He lives in a rented home with pregnant wife Kate, who will have "a big say" in his next career move, according to aides.

A royal insider said that Anmer and Wattisham would be great for the couple.

"It is handy for London which they love and handy for doctors and hospitals there. Plus they can get to her parents easily," the source said.

The couple have to decide soon if William will remain in uniform or leave the service.

His tour ends in the spring and aides are gearing up for an announcement. (ANI)
