Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold virtual key meeting over ‘COVID surge’ in Indian states

In terms of COVID cases, India is witnessing a massive surge. Earlier, five states were contributing to 80 percent of the overall COVID cases, but there are seven states that have witnessed a sudden spike in COVID cases. Madhya Pradesh is the latest entry on the list. Maharashtra has reported more than 16,620 COVID cases. Kerala has reported 2,035 COVID cases. Punjab has reported 1,515 COVID cases. Karnataka has reported 921 COVID cases. Tamil Nadu has reported 695 COVID cades and Madhya Pradesh, which is the latest entry has reported 675 fresh COVID cases. It is being reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to have a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers of the state. It is also being reported that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also take part in the meeting.
