Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the phase 2 of Rupay card in Bhutan Today. Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering also joined the prime minister. These RuPay cards issued by the Bhutan National Bank can be used at ATMs for Rs 1 lakh and for Rs 20 lakh at point-of-sale (PoS) terminals. This card is expected to make tourism, shopping and other transactions easier for the Bhutanese tourists in India. Modi praised the Bhutanese government for fighting the COVID pandemic effectively and assured India's alliance to the country. Hopefully opening India's space sector for private enterprises will boost India's innovation, capacity and skills.
