UP: Portion of Tent Collapses During Yogi Adityanath’s Event in Gorakhpur, No Injuries
Lucknow, Sept 21: A portion of the tent collapsed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s speech venue in Gorakhpur on Thursday. Adityanath was present at the venue when the incident happened. No injuries have been reported. The portion of tent collapsed due to heavy rains in the area.
While speaking at the event, Adityanath said assured farmers that they will get compensation of all their losses. He added that farmers who had been affected by the floods last month will also be compensated. Adityanath said that his government was working on getting more opportunities for the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing heavy rains for the past couple of days. Parts of Lucknow, Agra and Kanpur have also been receiving rains. More rains have been forecast in the next 24 to 48 hours in different parts of the state.
The state suffered floods last month due to incessant monsoon rains. At least 91 people died during flooding in the eastern part of the state. The rivers in the state crossed the danger mark, wreaking havoc in different areas, specially the eastern part of the state. Adityanath had conducted various aerial surveys of the state to identify the losess that the state suffered due to the deluge.
