Police in Hyderabad arrests Rohingya refugees for fraudulently obtaining Indian nationality

The accused had applied for Indian passports by submitting Aadhar cards

The police in Hyderabad has arrested Rohingya refugees for fraudulently obtaining Indian Nationality.

In a recent case, four persons including two Myanmar nationals were nabbed by the police for obtaining Indian Passports, Aadhar Card, Voter ID cards and other documents by forging documents.

The accused are identified as Syed Nayeem (Indian), Mohammad Aqeel, (Indian), Mohammad Fayaz (Myanmar) and Mohammad Faisal (Myanmar).

The two foreigners were residing in Balapur locality under Rachakonda Commissioner zone of the city from the past three years.

According to the police, accused Syed Nayeem is a visa agent and was arranging Indian Passports by creating fabricated ID proofs like Aadhar card, Pan card with the help of Mohammad Aqeel.

Both Myanmar nationals- Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Faisal had migrated to India as refugees for livelihood after the ethnic violence breakout in their country but recently they planned to claim the Indian citizenship and contacted Syed Nayeem.

Soon, sensing the loophole in the system, Syed Nayeem created false and fabricated rental deed on Mohammad Aqeels residential proofs and got a cards for the foreign national.

Subsequently, the accused also applied for Indian passports by submitting the Aadhar cards and residential proofs.

Olive has seized One Indian Passport on the name of Habeeba apart from the Aadhar Card, Voter ID card and PAN card from the foreign national.

All the accused have been sent to jail after being produced in the court.
