RaGa slams PM Modi over message to states, Says Vaccine scarcity is a serious issue, not an "Utsav"

The scarcity of coronavirus vaccine doses is a serious problem, not a "utsav," according to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for a "tika utsav," or "vaccine festival," between April 11 and 14 to inoculate as many deserving beneficiaries as possible across states. The Congress MP also questioned the government about vaccine exports at a time when vaccine centers across the country, including Maharashtra, have been closing early and turning people away due to a lack of supplies. Even as infections in the country grew at their fastest pace since the pandemic started, several vaccination centers reported running out of doses.
