PM Modi's opening remarks at SCO Summit, claims 'COVID-19 crumbled World economy'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meet virtually with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and other leaders to discuss the ways to combat economic suppression led due to the outbreak of COVID-19. He also discusses the surge in threats of terrorism and the standoff dispute with neighbouring countries.

This was one of the first meets between PM Modi and China President Xi in many months. PM Modi in address states ‘India has strong cultural and historical ties with SCO countries. India believes that to enhance connectivity it is important that we move forward while respecting one another's sovereignty and territorial integrity’.
