PM Modi invited to commemorate as AMU completes 100 years; Controversy sparks row

On December 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become the first Prime Minister to be the Chief Guest at celebrations marking 100 years of Aligarh Muslim University. He will be attending the program virtually along with the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. The students on the other hand have opposed the address of Prime Minister Modi. The authorities have denied any protest by students. Many of the AMU students in a conversation say that if AMU Vice-Chancellor has invited PM Modi, every single student will oppose this and we are all united to oppose Prime Minister’s presence.
