Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged India's youth to read the Bhagwad Gita on Thursday, as he released an e-book edition of Swami Chidbhavananda's commentaries on the ancient Hindu scripture, which is part of the epic Mahabharata. “The Gita will offer an oasis in the midst of the fast-paced life. PM Modi congratulated the book's launch, saying, "It is a realistic guide for many aspects of life."
To commemorate the selling of more than 500,000 copies of Swami Chidbhavananda's Bhagavad Gita, the Kindle version was released. The Gita, according to the Prime Minister, encourages us to challenge and reflect. It stimulates dialogue and keeps our minds open. He went on to say that someone who is motivated by Gita will always be compassionate and democratic in nature.
