The 'Sansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana' is a scheme in which parliamentarians choose one village each from the constituencies that they represent, fix parameters and make it a model one by 2016. The scheme was launched later in October, with active participation from members of both Houses.
Meanwhile, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims at making India a clean country by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. (ANI)
