Amid the poll battles going on in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cancels his visit to the state. Prime Minister was supposed to hold a rally in the state, but has now cancelled his visit instead, he will be chairing a Covid meeting in Delhi. PM Modi tweets that “Tomorrow will be chairing high-level meetings to review the prevailing COVID-19 situation. Due to that, I would not be going to West Bengal.” Subsequently, there are no other awaiting meetings of the Prime Minister in the state, thus effectively ending his campaign over there for now. In the midst of the ongoing crisis BJP initially decided to call off the massive campaigns in the state of West Bengal.
