PM Modi boosts the poll pitch for Bengal, accuses TMC of 'appeasement politics'

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congressional government in the state on his second visit to West Bengal before the election to the 294-member Assembly. Addressing a public meeting in Hooghly, PM Modi said that as long as reduced money culture, syndicate rule, and "tolabaji" (extortion) continue, growth in Bengal is not possible.

He also criticised the government of Banerjee for not allowing central schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Ayushman Bharat to deprive farmers and poor citizens of their benefits. To know more, watch the full video!
