Plot next to Obama's Chicago home on sale for $899k

Chicago, Nov. 15 (ANI): The owners of the unoccupied plot next to President Barack Obama's home in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood are selling the plot for 899,000 dollars.

The owners purchased the 50' x 150' plot at Greenwood Avenue for 675,000 dollars in 2008.

They had planned to construct an 8,000-square-foot home there, but never really moved ahead with it.

According to the Chicago Tribune, potential buyers will have to show their financial statements as well as submit their name to the Secret Service 24 hours ahead of time, properties agent Anthony Rouches, who has the listing, said.

"I offered it to Obama through the Secret Service. They weren't interested," Rouches said.

"The Secret Service mows the lawn over there, with the president's lawn mower," he added. (ANI)
