Places of worship in Uttar Pradesh may soon have boundaries

The Yogi Adityanath government is contemplating a proposal to set up boundary walls around places of worship in Uttar Pradesh.

In a move which many would equate to the ambitious project of Akhilesh Yadav's boundary walls around cemetaries the Yogi government is contemplating a proposal to set up boundary walls around places of worship.

A proposal regarding the same is presently being analysed, and a decision is likely to be arrived at soon.

When posed with this question Shreekant Sharma, a minister in yogi Cabinet, indicated that the government has decided to increase the connectivity of all the religiuos places in the state by connecting them with four lane roads and increasing facilitiies around them. He indicated that ensuring security and providing facilities to the tourists coming from different parts of the country is of prime importance to the government. He indicated that the authorities have been advised to ensure all possible comfort to the tourists and pilgrims thronging to the various places.

The minister also indicated that recently the government has already set up a task force to take action against, and prevent all kinds of encroachment or illegal occupation by the land mafia.

It has been learnt through sources that Yogi Adityanath had received proposals from various stakeholders recently regarding construction of boundary walls around places of worship. The same is being analysed, and highly placed sources indicated that the proposal may soon see the light of the day.
