Uceny's anguish: Saddest sight of the London Olympics

There was drama in the 1,500 metres where luckless American Morgan Uceny fell again in a championship final, having tumbled in last year's world championships in Daegu, South Korea. The right foot of Russian Tatyana Tomashova appeared to clip the left knee of Uceny, sending the American sprawling to the ground with less than 400 meters to go; and to rub salt into her heartbreak, not one of her rivals came over to console or help her up after the race was over. This incident brought back memories of Mary Decker's anguish after tangling with the bare feet of Zola Budd and falling in the 3,000 meters in 1984.
