Pfizer COVID vaccine shows 95% efficacy; pharma company waits for regulatory nod

The race for the COVID vaccine finally seems to be reaching its endpoint. Recently, the American pharma company Moderna claimed that its vaccine is 94.5% effective on COVID patients, and now another US drugmaker Pfizer Biontech has published the result of its phase three trial of the COVID vaccine.

The firm claims that its vaccine is 95% effective, which is maximum for any pharma company till now. The firm is waiting for a nod from the regulatory body to produce the vaccine on a mass scale. Dr. Ugur Sahin, Biontech's Co-founder and CEO confirms the effectiveness of the vaccine and states that it is extraordinary protection.
