Watch: Peter Andre explains why he’s got a fake tattoo
Peter Andre fans were alarmed to see the singer sporting a new neck tattoo - but he's confirmed it is in fact a fake.
A large black flame-style inking was visible on his neck as he appeared Loose Women alongside wife Emily on Wednesday with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
Langsford drew attention to it, prompting Andre to clarify it was for a film character and that it wasn't the only change to his appearance.
"So this is not mine and the beard is even fuller because I can't really grow it properly,” the 47-year-old shared. “I'm on set for a film so I was there this morning, I've come here and I'm going back to do it this afternoon."
"It's semi-permanent. I had [fake] scars, I had to take them off," he added before his spouse teased that he hadn't removed the ink.
"I like the tattoo," he said.
On Tuesday evening, the actor shared a photo of himself to Instagram where the artificial inking could be seen as he teased he was "getting ready for something special".
However, his followers thought the tattoo was a permanent addition to his look.
"Handsome man but big no for the tattoo, personal opinion like it’s your personal choice. Can’t wait to see that tattoo on your neck when your 90," wrote one.
Another opined: "Look great, that’s not a real neck tattoo though is it!? Nooooo!"
While a third remarked: "Looking good but what is that on your neck."
Andre does have multiple real tattoos on his arms but said back in 2018 that he wouldn't be adding to his collection as wife Emily is not a fan of them.
