People celebrate ‘Holika Dahan’ in India

Amritsar (Punjab)/ Guwahati (Assam), Mar 28 (ANI): People celebrated Holika Dahan with full religious fervor in different parts of the country. This day is also known as ‘Chhoti Holi’ which falls on the eve of Holi festival. Holika Dahan marks the triumph of good over evil and signifies the power of true devotion. People hold a bonfire to signify the pyre that was created to kill Prahlad. Next day people celebrate the festival of colours.
