Paupers leave Jaipur streets to learn occupational skills

Jaipur (Rajasthan), Feb 05 (ANI): Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation have taken up an ambitious project to train beggars in Jaipur so that they can generate employment for themselves. It also works as a rehabilitation centre for the beggars. They are taught basic manners including cleanliness and discipline. Donned in clean uniforms, they start of their day with positivity through Yoga sessions. They are being taught new skills so that they can earn their bread and butter. "We have started with two batches of 20 people each for men. We are training them and will also get them employed so that hands which once used to rise for begging will rise for talent," said RSLDC Chairman Niraj Kumar Pawan.
