During the launch of the song 'Ye Jawaani Teri' with her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, when Parineeti was quizzed if actors should be well informed of controversies, and should they give their opinion, the 'Hasee Toh Phasee' actress said that celebrities can't be forced to comment on any issue if they don't know about it or it doesn't concern them. Adding more to it, Parineeti said that there are people who want to comment and they are free to do that. At the end of the day, we are living in a democratic country and we must not forget that.
