The Florida Panthers have signed forward Cole Schwindt to a three-year, entry level contract.
President of hockey operations and general manager Dale Tallon announced the deal on Wednesday.
Florida selected Schwindt, 18, in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft after he recorded 19 goals and 30 assists in 68 games during the 2018-19 season with Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League.
Schwindt was even better this season, posting 28 goals and 43 assists in 57 games to lead Mississauga with 71 points.
In three seasons with Mississauga, Schwindt has 138 points in 191 games.
"Cole is a talented and responsible two-way player who had an excellent season playing a key role with Mississauga," Tallon said.
"He possesses great versatility, size and character and we are excited about his continued development with the Panthers."
