Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O.Panneerselvam has moved out of the government quarters, 'Thenpennai' at Greenways road.

His new address is Poes Garden, Venus colony, 1st street.

The house warming ceremony was held around seven on Thursday morning.

The former chief minister's new house at Venus colony was chosen after making sure that there will not be any hindrances for his followers who visit him in large numbers every day.

At the Thenpennai residence, OPS had personally taken care of two indigenous Kangeyam bulls and four cows as his pets.

Earlier, he had plans to transport the bulls back to his hometown and give away the cows to someone who can take good care of them but given the attachment OPS has for the animals, it is expected that he might make a shelter for them at his new residence.

MORE ABOUT OPS MOVING OUT OF THE THENPENNAI QUARTERS

OPS lost his interim post as the chief minister after his historical meditation protest in front of Jayalalithaa's memorial on February 7.

Even then, he continued to stay at the government quarters and meet his supporters.

However, after Edappadi K. Palaniswami proved his majority on February 18, the Public Works Department asked OPS to move out of the government quarters.

Thereby, after conducting a successful hunger strike on March 8, OPS shifted out of the government bungalow where he stayed for close to six years.
