A new development has come to light in regards to the Palghar lynching case. Maharashtra government has filed a status report in the Supreme Court. The report contains the actions that have been taken against the police personnel.
According to the status report, one police officer has been dismissed from service, two cops have been sent for compulsory retirement, fifteen cops have been punished with pay cuts. Two charge sheets have been filed against 252 people in this case. The Supreme Court had expressed dissatisfaction on the last date of hearing in regards to the action that was earlier taken in the Palghar lynching case.
