Pakistan violates ceasefire in J&K’s Mendhar, uses rocket launcher; 2 jawans martyred

Pakistan, on July 17, violated ceasefire along Naugam sector in Kupwra district. In this incident, one jawan was martyred.

Srinagar, May 1: One Army soldier and a Border Security Force jawan were martyred on Monday in a ceasefire violation in Mendhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan used rocket launcher to attack Indian troops.

 

Last week, three jawans were martyred and two terrorists were killed on Chokibal Army camp in Panzgam area of Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir.

Three soldiers were killed in a major terror attack on an Army artillery unit in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nagrota on November 29, 2016, when heavily armed suicide attackers entered the unit at with grenades and forced their way in.

In September 2016, 19 soldiers were killed in a similar attack on an Army camp in Uri district by terrorists who crossed over from Pakistan.
