Outbreak of bird flu reported in Rajasthan and other states

Amid the pandemic, there are reports of another scare in Rajasthan as 522 birds reported dead in the last 3 days. Most deaths are reported in Kota and Jodhpur regions. This is due to the dreaded avian influenza which has also spread across other states in the country such as Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh. The government of Rajasthan has sounded a bird flu alert which is a highly infectious and severe respiratory disease in birds caused by H5N1 influenza that can spread to human beings and turn fatal.
