Organizers of free vaccine camp charged with breaking rules in order to obtain free vaccinations

Organizers of a free vaccination event at the Jaypee Greens housing community in Greater Noida have been charged by Uttar Pradesh police with breaking norms in order to obtain vaccines from a primary health center in Aligarh district. The immunizations were obtained for free from an Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) in Aligarh's Naurangabad neighborhood. Shubh Gautam, the head of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), and five others have been charged with deception under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code for organizing the camp without first obtaining authorization from the Gautam Buddha Nagar district health department.
