OnePlus 7 Series Latest Leaks And Launch Date Revealed

The wait is finally over as OnePlus 7 has revealed the launch date for its upcoming flagship devices. The Chinese smartphone company, known for producing flagship killers, will come out with the successor to the OnePlus 6T on May 14 in Bengaluru at the Bangalore International Convention Centre.

The OnePlus 7 series will be simultaneously launched In the US, the UK and India, after which it will be launched in China on May 16. OnePlus will also be live streaming the event on various online platforms starting 8:15 pm on May 14. is already teasing the launch of the device with a ‘Notify Me’ option, suggesting there is an exclusive tie-up between OnePlus and Amazon India to sell the phone online.

According to reports, OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 7 which will be the successor to the OnePlus 6T and a Pro version as well which will be in the price range of flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the iPhone XS.

In an interview with The Verge, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that the upcoming flagship device will have a ‘whole new display which has to be seen to be believed’. Reports by The Verge suggest, the OnePlus 7 Pro will have a higher refresh rate of 90Hz, previously seen only on gaming devices of the likes of the Razor phone (120Hz) and the Asus ROG phone (90Hz). In line with this year’s trend, OnePlus will also add a 5G option to its premium flagship device.

Leaker Max J has revealed the complete specifications of the OnePlus 7 Pro ahead of its launch.

According To Max J, The OnePlus 7 Pro will have a 6.7-inch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to sport a triple-camera setup at the back with the primary camera having a 48MP sensor and F1.6 aperture as well as optical and electronic image stabilsation. The secondary camera will come with an 8MP sensor, F2.4 aperture and 3x zoom. The tertiary camera will be a wide-angle lens with 16MP sensor and F2.2 aperture. The selfie camera will have a 16MP sensor and F2.0 aperture.

Max J’s tweet also reveals what the internals of the OnePlus 7 Pro may look like. As expected, the phone will come with the latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 6GB/128GB storage or 8GB/256GB storage. The battery capacity of the phone will be a 4,000mAh one with fast charging. Another feature of the OnePlus 7 will be the in-display fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus has steadily increased the price tag of its flagship device with each new generation. The company is expected to increase the price of the One Plus 7 as well, as against launch price of the OnePlus 6T which started at Rs 37,999.
