Imran Tahir - DOB: 27 March 1979
Tahir is amongst the oldest cricketers to play this year’s IPL. At the age of 41 years, the South African spinner is part of the Chennai Super Kings. In IPL 2019, Imran won the purple cap with 26 wickets in the season.
Chris Gayle - DOB: 21 September 1979
The 41-year-old batsman is still an active member of the IPL and will play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. So far, he has played 132 matches and scored 4772 runs in the tournament.
Harbhajan Singh - DOB: 3 July 1980
Bhajji is 40 years old now and has played every edition of the IPL since 2008, except in 2020. He started with Mumbai Indians in 2017. The off-spinner has played 160 IPL matches and bagged 150 wickets.
MS Dhoni - DOB: 7 July 1981
At the age of 39 years, MS Dhoni is all but geared for the 14th edition of the IPL in 2021. He has been a part of all the tournaments since 2008, heading the Chennai Super Kings in every edition. Dhoni has played 204 IPL matches scoring 4632 runs with 23 half-centuries.
Amit Mishra - DOB: 24 November 1982
The 38-year-old leg spinner has picked up 160 wickets in 150 games in the IPL leagues. Mishra is the 2nd highest wicket-taker in IPL history.
Daniel Christian - 4 May 1983
At the ripe age of 37 years, the Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian will return to the IPL after a gap of three years. Bought by RCB for Rs 4.8 crore, he has played 40 IPL matches, made 446 runs, and taken 36 wickets.
Wriddhiman Saha - 24 October 1984
The keeper-batsman is the oldest member of the SRH troupe, aged 36. He has played 124 IPL matches, scoring a total of 1979 runs and strikes at 132.02.
Kedar Jadhav - DOB: 26 March 1985
Kedar Jadhav is 35 years old and a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2021 IPL. The right-handed batsman has played 87 matches scoring 1141 runs.
Andrew Tye - DOB: 12 December 1986
The Australian bowler is known to be a T20 specialist. The 34-year-old is the senior-most player in the Rajasthan Royals squad. Overall he has picked up 40 wickets in 27 games at a strike rate of 15.45 in the IPL tournaments.
Rohit Sharma - DOB: 30 April 1987
The 34-year-old has captained the team to a record five league titles. He is the fourth-highest run-scorer of all time with 5230 runs in 200 games.
