Bhubaneswar, Mar 29 (PTI) Odisha's COVID-19 caseload mounted to 3,40,402 on Monday after 208 people tested positive for the virus, while one more fatality pushed the death toll to 1,921, a health department official said.
Nuapada district reported the highest number of 36 new cases, followed by Khurda (33) and Kalahandi (22).
Odisha, for the fifth consecutive day on Monday, reported above 200 fresh cases, he said.
The number of active cases now stands at 1,737, while 3,36,691 patients have recovered from the disease so far, the official said.
The state has thus far conducted over 90 lakh sample tests for COVID-19, including 26,355 on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a report from Jagatsinghpur district said 14 crew members of a cargo ship anchored at Paradip Port tested positive for novel coronavirus.
The infected crew members were admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, the doctor-in-charge for COVID-19 management at Paradip Port Trust (PPT), Prahalad Panda, said.
The vessel had reached Paradip from the Tuticorin Port in Tamil Nadu two days ago.
It has been sanitised and the 14 patients were asked to go in quarantine on the top cabin, Panda said. PTI COR AAM SBN RBT RBT
