Bhubaneswar, Feb 16 (PTI) Odishas COVID-19 tally climbed to 3,36,322 on Tuesday after 60 more people tested positive for the virus, while one fresh fatality pushed the death toll to 1,912, a health official said.
Thirty-six new cases were reported in quarantine centres, while 24 infections were detected during contact tracing, he said.
Puri district recorded the highest number of new cases at 13, followed by Sundergarh and Sambalpur districts at nine each.
'Regret to inform the demise of 73-year-old female Covid positive patient of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Hypothyroidism,' The Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted.
Fifty-three coronavirus patients have died due to comorbidities so far.
The positivity rate stands at 4.17 per cent.
Khurda district, under which Bhubaneswar falls, has so far reported the highest number of fatalities at 336, followed by Ganjam (248) and Sundargarh (173).
The state now has 720 active cases, while 3,33,637 people have recovered from the disease so far.
Gajapati district continued to remain coronavirus-free for the fourth day on Tuesday.
The coastal state has so far tested over 80.61 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 17,329 on Monday. PTI AAM SBN MM MM
