Selfies and six packs to derail Arsenal's title hopes: Keane

Arsenal are not capable of winning the Premier League title this season because they have too many players interested in selfies and six packs rather than winning football matches, according to former Manchester United captain Roy Keane. Keane, a fire and brimstone midfielder, won seven Premier League titles as a player and enjoyed particularly competitive relationship with Arsenal and their similarly combative captain Patrick Viera. "Arsenal have some really good players -- some good …

Falcao can play as dual striker, says Mourinho

By Martyn Herman LONDON (Reuters) - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he could adopt a two-pronged attack with Colombian Radamel Falcao offering more options for the coming season after joining on loan from Monaco. Falcao struggled to impress during a similar spell at Manchester United last season, but Mourinho has great faith in a player who will wear the number nine shirt for Chelsea. Diego Costa shouldered most of the striking burden last season as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 system, but …

    Predictable Premier League excitement begins

By Steve Tongue LONDON (Reuters) - England's Premier League is undoubtedly one of the most exciting in world football but as it embarks on its 24th season on Aug. 8 is it also becoming one of the most predictable? Last term only Newcastle United and Everton, both of whom dropped down the table, moved more than four places either way, while two of the three promoted clubs went straight back down. While the usual suspects are expected to contest the title, however, none of them have managed to …

Man United bank on Schweinsteiger for midfield mongrel

By Ed Osmond LONDON (Reuters) - The signing of Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich was a massive statement of intent by Manchester United. Not since Roy Keane swaggered round the Old Trafford pitch from 1993-2005 have United had a midfield enforcer with the skill, power and strength of character to run the team. The 31-year-old Schweinsteiger, a World Cup winner and serial trophy accumulator with Bayern, has all the attributes to emulate the charismatic Irishman. …

Washington, Nov. 18 (ANI): President Barack Obama jokingly mimicked U.S. Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney 'not impressed' scowl during her visit to the White House recently.

During the U.S. women's gymnastics team's visit to the White House on Thursday, Obama posed with Maroney, pulling the apathetic expression that made her an Internet sensation during the Summer Games in London.

Team USA's Fierce Five Olympic gymnastics team, including McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas, reunited in Washington, D.C. for an audience with Obama.

"All together again!! FIERCE 5 reunited. So good being back with my best friends," Maroney, 16, tweeted Thursday.

According to the US Magazine, when meeting Obama in the Oval Office, Maroney kidded around with the Commander-in-Chief and got him to mimic her 'not impressed' expression that was all the rage this summer during the London Games.

"Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President . . . ?" Maroney tweeted to her 481,000 Twitter followers.

Later, the White House posted photographic proof to their Flickr page that Obama did indeed get in on the fun and impersonate the look the athlete had on her face after receiving the silver medal in the Olympic women's vault competition August 5, the report said. (ANI)
