Fresh trouble seems to be brewng up for actor Kamal Haasan for his remarks about Hindu epic Mahabharat.

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed against Haasan in the Tirunelveli district court by Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) for hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

A police complaint was lodged against Haasan by HMK on March 15 at the Chennai City Police Commissionerate for his alleged derogatory remarks about Mahabharat.

In an interview to a private news channel, Haasan allegedly commented on Mahabharat saying that Panchali was used as a pawn while the men gambled. The HMK in its complaint claimed that the remarks of the actor may incite enmity between groups and cause disturbance to public tranquillity.

The HMK called Haasan an anti-Hindu and even questioned if he had any guts to speak against Bible or Quran in the same way.
