Now AAP cries assault, says 'motivated mob' manhandled party leaders at Delhi Secretariat
The drama in the country's capital continues.
After Delhi's Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash accused two MLAs of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of assaulting him on Monday, the party has come forth with a similar claim.
AAP's Ashish Khetan has claimed that he and the personal security officer of a Delhi minister were assaulted inside the Secretariat building today.
Khetan's claim came even as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal denied that his MLAs had assaulted or manhandled the state's Chief Secretary.
Kejriwal, in a statement issued through his office, instead claimed that the Chief Secretary had misbehaved with the MLAs on Monday evening during a meeting called at Kejriwal's home.
WHAT HAPPENED EARLIER?
In a Statement issued by the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, the Aam Aadmi Party had allegedly assaulted him in front of the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
MLA Amanatullah Khan of the AAP was accused of manhandling Anshu Prakash in a meeting convened by Kejriwal on Monday to discuss some issues regarding advertisements.
According to sources, an argument between the Chief Secretary and the MLAs led to the incident.
The BJP reacting to the incident crticised Arvind Kejriwal of practicing dictatorship in his government.
The Delhi Chief minister's office however, denied all the allegations made against the AAP MLAs and said it was the Chief Secretary who misbehaved instead.
A NEW TWIST IN THE STORY
The blame game between AAP and the officers at the Delhi secretariat saw a new twist when AAP leader Ashish Khetan accused the officers of assaulting not only him but his PSO as well.
There was a mob, unruly and aggressive - they ran towards me shouting pro-BJP slogans ..my staff members have been hurt. Lodged a complaint with Daryaganj PS....Delhi police staff did not intervene
