Northeast India celebrates National Doctors’ Day

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), Guwahati (Assam), Agartala (Tripura) July 1 (ANI): Along with the rest of the country, National Doctor’s Day was celebrated in the northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Directorate of Health Services, Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh recognised the selfless efforts of doctor amid pandemic. On the occasion, various retired doctors and health care workers were felicitated for their relentless services. Event was organized by the Indian Medical Association Arunachal Pradesh state branch.Meanwhile, in Assam, a COVID-19 vaccination drive for specially-abled persons of the age group of 18+ was held as part of the program at Mahendra Mohan Choudhary Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati.
