As of 15 June 2020, wearing a face mask on public transport to help defend against the coronavirus is now compulsory in the UK.
This news follows government advice, released on 11 May 2020, that suggested face coverings should be worn in enclosed spaces - including public transport and when visiting some shops.
According to Public Health England (PHE), a cloth face covering should cover your mouth and nose while allowing you to breathe comfortably.
