NIA raids underway in Srinagar; human rights activist Khurram Parvaiz also raided

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Offices of an NGO named Athrout and Office of Greater Kashmir newspaper, the residence of Human Rights Activist Khurram Parvaiz and many other locations are raided in connection with unaccounted funding, hawala transactions.

Times Now correspondent Pradeep Dutta reports; says, 'The raids were conducted to find out about the unrecorded transactions and connections to the separatists. Earlier in 2016 also Khurram Parvaiz was raided while he was on his way to Geneva and at that time it was mentioned in the dossier that he had a dominant position in the separatists kept under the dark behind the Human Rights activities.
