NIA files chargesheet in Kerala gold smuggling case; identifies KT Ramees as mastermind

The NIA has busted the Kerala gold smuggling racket in India. In its first charge sheet which has been accessed by Times Now the NIA details how the scam connects to the Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan's office. The federal probe agency has not given a clean chit to Pinarayi's close aid, K Shivshankar but has denied the role of UAE diplomats.

The agency has also said that the PFI man was used as a courier service in the smuggling. The charge sheet also mentions how 167 kgs of gold were smuggled into India in 18 consignments by faking UAE consulate authorisation letter. KT Ramees is named as the mastermind in the case.
