NHRC team assesses post-poll violence in Bengal; bid to intimidate institutions in the state?

West Bengal: A team of the National Human Rights Commission has now reached West Bengal to assess the post-poll violence situation in the state. However, a member from the NHRC team has now alleged that there was an open bid to intimidate the team by a mob. The team was allegedly heckled in Jadavpur and the allegations have been made by NHRC members Ateef Rashid, who went on to say that the local police did little to nothing to stop the intimidation bid by the mobs. This comes a day after an NCW member complained to the cops about locals being manipulated and apprehended for reaching out to her. TMC leaders however, have denied these allegations and claimed that the video must be checked for authenticity and the BJP's I-T Cell cannot be trusted.
