NHRC team arrives in Bagdogra, West Bengal: Seven- Member Committee to probe Post-Poll Violence

Earlier, Calcutta High Court orders a seven-member committee of the National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC) in order to probe BJP leader's complaints of post-poll violence In West Bengal. The complaints were in 1,000 numbers from the BJP leaders. According to sources, the NHRC team has reached Bagdogra and now they are proceeding to Coochbehar to enquire about the post-poll Violence in West Bengal. The seven-member committee is headed by NHRC member Rajeev Jain. The NHRC after investigating will submit the report to the chief justice. The seven-member committee also compromises of National commission for women, National Commission for Minority, and also West Bengal Human Right Commission.
