NHRC to file a report in Calcutta High Court on the post poll violence in Kolkata

After the West Bengal election, a lot of violence happened on 2nd May 2021 where houses were destroyed of BJP members and other crimes occurred too. After all this Calcutta High Court allotted a team of National Human Rights Commission to investigate (NHRC) the case. Yesterday a group of seven people visited the Jadavpur constituency in Kolkata where most of the violence took place. According to Atif Rashid, a member of NHRC as they visited the place they were heckled and police didn't come to help them out. He said he hasn't filed a police complaint yet but will put all the details in the report which is to be file in Calcutta High Court.
