Never seen police beating women MLAs: Mallikarjun Kharge slams Bihar govt

New Delhi, Mar 24 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, on March 24 slammed the BJP-JD(U) government in Bihar over the action against opposition MLAs after they created ruckus inside the assembly over the Bihar Special Armed Police Bill 2021, which, Kharge said, will give more power to the state police, and will promote ‘police raj’. He also said that BJP talks about democracy but it is killing it by passing the bill. “Incident in Bihar Assembly is condemnable. I've never seen police beating women MLAs. BJP is killing democracy. If this is happening with elected leaders, what about law and order situation in the state? If Bihar Police law is passed, it'll give leeway to them,” Leader of Opposition said.
