Nepal Opposition parties objects to Govt.'s decision to hold local elections in two phases

The Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) has expressed their concern and objection over the government's decision to hold local polls in two phases. The Opposition claimed that the government is trying to lure the voters by highlighting the features of the budget and as per the Nepal Constitution there is a provision of announcing the budget for the coming fiscal year on the mid of Jestha which is on 29th May this year. The opposition has decried the decision of the ruling alliance to hold the election in two phases, the first phase would be held on in 14th of May and the second on 14th of June with budgetary announcement taking place between the gaps.
