Neither I was invited nor am I interested: Shatrughan Sinha on star campaigning

New Delhi (India), Mar. 5 (ANI): Continuing his jibe at "star campaigners who few recognize" and "jalebi-eating, time-pass people with little relevance or impact", BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha today said that neither he was invited nor he is interested in campaigning for the saffron party in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.

"Neither I was invited nor I am interested," said Sinha, who had earlier lashed out at star campaigners with little local connect.

The actor-turned politician also wondered as to why Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being exposed so much during the elections.

"I can't understand the need of all these things when there are so hardworking leader. Why are we exposing the PM in such a manner in every election? What is the need for it?" he asked.

Sinha added he prays that the BJP performs extremely well in the assembly polls.

The BJP leader had earlier in a series of tweets hit out at "hardly working leaders".

"Star power, Stars' Power, Solo Marches, Massive crowds, attendant security concerns, Multi starrers' marches with great fanfare so called star campaigners who few recognize, Jalebi eating time pass people with little relevance or impact, hard working cadres and hardly working leaders....Man power, money power and goon power - The competitive games, moves and strategem employed," he tweeted.
