As the slugfest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiv Sena intensifies in Maharashtra over the formation of the next state government, a Nationalist Congress Party youth leader Ashish Mete posted a tendentious tweet comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ajmal Kasab, one of the attackers from Pakistan who unleashed terror in Mumbai on November 26, 2008.
Mete, who is the state secretary of NCP Youth in Maharashtra, posted the tweet in Marathi stating: ’Even though Kasab burnt down CST station, he had to cry because Tukaram Ombale fought with him. Just like that even after winning India, Modi is crying but Sharad Pawar with 54 seats is overpowering him.”
Later, he deleted the tweet and reposted another one sans the Kasab reference.

नरेंद्र मोदी रडला होता
कारण १०५ जागा जिंकुन सुद्धा
त्याला ५४ जागा जिंकणारा
शरद पवार नडला होता ।।
In the Maharashtra state elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 105 seats, and its alliance partner Shiv Sena bagged 56 seats. Together, they have the majority to form the government but are quarelling over whose candidate will be the chief minister.
Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar, the NCP chief, has made it clear that they, along with the Congress or the Shiv Sena, will not attempt to form the government as their mandate is to sit in the opposition.
