NCB launches drive against psychotropic drugs in Delhi, 2 arrested

New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) launched a special drive against psychotropic drugs trafficking especially those using the Darknet and internet pharmacy route on June 26 in Delhi. The total 37 seizures were affected from this syndicate leading to a cumulative figure of 22 lakhs of psychotropic drugs, 70,000 Codeine Based Cough Syrups (CBCS) and 245 kg psychotropic drugs. This operation was conducted over a period of two months and raids were conducted at various hide outs of accused persons in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. During investigation, it was unearthed that the shippers are primarily in Delhi NCR and are using fake identities. Based on the above investigation, the masterminds of this syndicate were identified and raids were conducted to nab them. They were identified as A. Sharma and P. Sharma and both have been arrested.
