Navratri 2017 Vrat Recipe: How to Make Moongfali aur Makhane Ki Kadi at Home
Makhana is popular as a fasting food in India and during the festive season of Navratri, it is included in a lot of food preparations. Makhana which is also known as fox nuts is a good source of protein, carbohydrates, fiber, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. You can include this ingredient in your dish to get all the necessary nutrients. Makhana is also high in fiber and low in calories, so it enables weight loss as well. Today we share with you a delicious recipe of Moongfali aur Makhane Ki Kadi. Below is the list of ingredients followed by the method of preparation, you can make this dish easily under 30 minutes. 1 cup puffed lotus seeds
1 cup amaranth flour
Rock rock salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons curd
1 1/2 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons desi ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 green chilies
3 to 4 Small cinnamon sticks
1 cup seamed Groundnut
1 cup water
To prepare this dish, first take a big hot pot and add 1 cup puffed lotus seeds and roast it well. Place in plate and rest for a couple of minutes. In bowl add 1 cup amaranth flour, rock salt to taste, ½ teaspoon sugar, 2 tablespoons curd and 1½ cup water. Mix all the ingredients well and prepare the dough.
In hot pot add 1½ teaspoons desi ghee, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 green chili, 3 to 4 small cinnamon sticks and 1 cup steamed raw peanuts. Mix well and add amaranth flour in big pot and cook for 1½ to 2 minutes on low gas. Add 1 cup water and cook for 2 minutes. Then mix 1 cup puffed lotus seeds and turn off flame.
For presentation place kadi in bowl. Garnish with lotus seeds, grated coconut, roasted cumin powder, green chili, rose leaves and peanuts. Moongfali aur Makhane Ki Kadi is ready to serve
