Amidst the unabated war of words between Shiv Sena, the leading unit in the coalition government in Maharashtra, and Kangana Ranaut, party spokesperson Sanjay Raut has come up with a bizarre defence for his gross, abusive comment on the acclaimed Bollywood actress.
Raut, who had called Kangana ‘har***khor’, claims that in colloquial Marathi the meaning of the word is ‘naughty’ or ‘dishonest’.
“There is nothing abusive about the word I used for Kangana,” Raut brazened it out. “It simply means naughty or dishonest in Maharashtra. Kangana is a naughty girl. She is a motormouth and keeps making irreverent, controversial comments. I often read and watch them,” he claimed.

बेवजह का बवाल बनाया. नॉटी गर्ल! संजय राउत ने मज़ाक़ करने की कंगना की आदत की वजह से ऐसा कहा था! 🤭 pic.twitter.com/fTc48mrv8x
His defence elicited a range of responses on social media. Some made light of it of the abuse and had a laugh, while many others were not amused by Raut’s broadside and bizarre defence.
A large section of social media users, who support Kangana, proclaimed that Raut’s persistent jibes and threats at the actress are despicable and reek of misogyny.
Now he’s justifying his idiocy that his meaning of Haramkhor = Naughty 🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/pDHhby5fWP— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) September 7, 2020

Now, he has defended himself by changing the meaning of 'Haramkhor' and said that it means 'naughty'. So that makes Kangana a naughty girl.
Suppose, if he had called a man 'Haramkhor'. Would he have changed its meaning?
Kangana and Shiv Sena have been at loggerheads ever since the investigation into the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput began. While Kangana feels that the Mumbai police and the ruling dispensation are lackadaisical and biased in their approach towards investigating Sushant’s untimely death, the Shiv Sena denies any such charge and slams those casting aspersions on Mumbai police.
